Title.... Thai Malay Survey Gravity surveys 1967-1968

GRAVITY SURVEY

42. On 2 May 68 a Worden Gravity Meter was received with instructions to complete Gravity measurements to all Trig points in Thailand (Annex 'J').    Initial planning showed  a large saving in time and personnel if a helicopter could be used, and one was obtained for two days commencing noon on 15 May 68.

43.    Gravity measurements were single loops, (BASE - STATION - BASE)  to be completed within 3 hours of starting (Annex 'L').

a,    TAN YONG.    This station was completed in 2¼ hours travelling by Landrover, boat and on foot from the NARATHIWAT base.
