11. History

At a meeting held at KUALA LUMPUR in July 1967, the Chief of Survey Royal Thai Department and the Director, National Mapping Malaysia agreed to measures for a joint programme for strengthening the geodetic connection between Thailand and Malaysia.

The Assistant Director of Survey, Far East land forces was invited to carry out a reconnaissance in the border area.

12.  An officer of 84 Svy Sqn RE, was ordered to reconnoitre and design a geodetic triangulation connection between the Thai and Malaysia bases.
